Composition:
- Each 1g contains oxytetracycline 250mg.
Restrictions:
- Tetracycline antibiotics are used to prevent certain Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, rickettsia, mycoplasma, and other infections, promote the growth and development of piglets and young poultry, and improve feed utilization.
- For the treatment of bacterial diseases caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria affecting the respiratory, and gastrointestinal tract, septicemia as well as skin conditions and urogenital tract infections, such as E. coli, Salmonella, Bacillus, Asteuria penetrans.
- It is also active against mycoplasma, spirochete, and some protozoa.
Dosage and Administration:
For oral administration via drinking water.
- Calves, foals, lambs: 20-40mg per 1kg bodyweight every 12 hours during 3-5 days.
- Pigs: 0.4-0.8 g per liter drinking water during 3-5 days.
- Poultry: 0.6-1.0 g per liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Adverse Reaction:
- Oral administration to mature animals that have microbiological digestion in the gastrointestinal system is essential.
