How to set up and use
- Read the manual. Check engine oil, fuel and tine bolts before each start.
- Clear stones, stumps and wire from the field.
- Start the engine with the tines out of gear, then lower and engage slowly.
- Work at an even walking pace; make a second pass for a finer seedbed.
- Work when soil is moist but not wet or sticky.
Safety and maintenance
- Keep feet and hands away from the tines; never reverse onto your feet.
- Wear boots and ear protection.
- Stop the engine before clearing grass from the tines.
- Change engine oil and clean the air filter as the manual directs.
- Store under a roof and drain fuel if parked for long.
