Features of a seedling Bell apple
The time for planting is from September through April.
Its form is a blend of tart and sweet. The sweetness of the fruit gets sweeter as it ripens.
The Bell can be planted at a 5m by 5m spacing with 160 seedlings per acre. Apple seedlings require frequent watering.
Two intramarginal veins are present; the leaf blade is elliptic or obovate-elliptic, with a short acuminate apex and a cuneate base. The stem is four-winged.
Bell apple grows best on loamy, well-drained soil between pH 5.5 and 6.5.
The germination period for seeds is 27–37 days.
Three days after harvest, the bell apple should be eaten or canned. If kept cold, it will keep for a few weeks.
