Force Up Herbicide

Forceup is a non-selective, systemic herbicide for clearing weeds before planting. It works by blocking the EPSP synthase enzyme, which plants need to make amino acids. Green leaves absorb it and it moves quickly through the whole plant, including the roots. Mature brown bark does not absorb it. It controls annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds, unwanted shrubs and tree stump regrowth. Check the label for the exact active ingredient and strength.

How to use

Calibrate your sprayer first. Shake the container. Half fill the sprayer with clean water, add the product, then top up while mixing. Spray only on weeds that are actively growing and have fully opened leaves.

• Annual grasses and broadleaf weeds: 3 L per hectare
• Biennial and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds: 6 L per hectare
• Stump regrowth, unwanted sugarcane and shrubs: 8 to 12 L per hectare

Tips for best results

• Keep people and animals out of treated areas for 48 hours.
• Do not mix with other herbicides unless the label allows it.
• Do not spray near ponds or streams.
• Triple-rinse empty containers into the spray tank, then destroy them. Do not reuse.

How much Forceup do I need for spear grass?
Spear grass is a perennial grass, so use the higher rate of about 6 L per hectare, as given in the product information. Confirm on the label.

Can I spray Forceup on cut stumps?
Spray the fresh green regrowth from the stumps. The stated rate for stump regrowth and shrubs is 8 to 12 L per hectare.

Will it kill my cocoa or oil palm trees?
It kills green tissue it touches. Mature brown bark does not absorb it, but keep spray off leaves, green stems and young plants.

When can I plant after spraying?
Wait until the weeds have died back, usually 1 to 3 weeks. Check the label for any planting interval.
