Jarrah RZ F1 is a semi-determinate hybrid tomato that gives firm, uniform, elongated plum fruit with strong fruit setting. Plants are vigorous with a good leaf canopy to protect the fruit from sun. It has high resistance to Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt and Tomato Mosaic Virus, which are common causes of crop loss. How to plant

• Raise seedlings in a nursery bed or trays with fine, rich soil. Sow about 0.5 cm deep.
• Keep the nursery shaded and moist; seeds usually sprout in about a week.
• Transplant at 4-5 weeks, when plants have 4-6 true leaves, in the cool of the evening.
• Space about 50 cm between plants and 75-100 cm between rows.
• Best seasons: dry season with irrigation, or late rains, when disease pressure is lower.

• Stake or trellis the plants; semi-determinate types grow taller than bush tomatoes.
• Water evenly to prevent blossom-end rot and fruit cracking.
• Apply NPK at transplanting and top-dress with a potassium-rich fertilizer at flowering.
• Mulch, weed often and scout for Tuta absoluta and fruit worms.

Can I save seed from Jarrah RZ fruit?
